Stories From Home - Mua Island

Just before the first Covid-19 lockdown, I ran a storytelling workshop at Moa Arts. Some of the ladies in Kubin Village came along to learn about creating narratives with vision and sound.

The videos we made are beautiful examples of how simple and thoughtful recordings can become incredibly powerful when they are woven together. We started with a question: what do you love about your home? There’s a lot of heart in this village for the natural environment and quiet spaces. For the ladies, these spaces are for breathing, learning, and building strength.

Delaubuthu - This is a story about Louise Manas’s special place, Delaubuthu, the beach where the del tree grows. Louise made this video with Charlotte Pearson.

Woven in Resilience - Pelé Glanville talks about the importance of connecting to the environment, taking care of it, and passing knowledge onto children.

My Home - Fiona Elisala Mosby talks about the advantages of being still and the positive things that can grow from quiet time at home.
